Posted on 09 Feb 2015 @ 8:41am by Lieutenant Commander Jayla Kij & Lieutenant JG Perei

Mission: Boarded
Location: Transporter Room
Timeline: MD 1 - 1455 hours

[Previously]
She placed her hand on her face it came back with half dried blood on it.

“Suggars awakes, yous transports nows.” The man said

Perei opened her mouth to ask ‘what happened?’ but it never came out as she dematerialized in front of him to stand on a transporter pad aboard the Black Hawk.

[Now]
The transporter chief replied “She is here and so are the crates”

“Goods, wes gones.” A voice said.

Blood dripped on the transporter and Perei wavered and collapsed.

The transporter chief pressed a button “Doc, medical emergency in the main transporter room.”

Jayla had barely even settled into her new office when the emergency call came through. She blinked, tapped her com badge and said, "I'm on my way," and grabbed a medical kit.

She made the trip in record time, breezing through 11 decks quickly because nobody was holding up the turbolifts. Convenient. Inside the transporter room, Jayla was met with a girl sprawled on the transporter pad, blood all over the side of her face. "What in the universe?" she demanded, hurrying over to the girl and pulling out her tricorder.

The transporter chief glanced up from his controls."Sorry, Doc. I am clueless. Whomever they were, dropped her off and left in a hurry. She is a science officer per her records. One," The chief paused "Perei, no last name listed, rank Lieutenant junior grade." With that he looked back down to the controls and contacted teh quarter master to remove the crates to the appropriate local.

Perei groaned and blinked in surprise. Her light quiet voice quavered "Where am I and what happened?"

"You're on the Black Hawk and we have no idea what happened," said Jayla. "Don't move! I think you might have a mild concussion. Let me get a handle on this cut, first." She took out the dermal regenerator and went to work on the nasty cut on the officer's head.

Perei started to nod and then stopped herself. "At least they transported me here, not quite safe and sound but here none the less and probably none worse the wear. I most certainly did not think my first visit with the Doctor would be due to an injury." She paused then a thoughtful expression on her face before she started to speak once more. "I am Perei."

"Doctor Kij," replied Jayla. "You can call me Jayla, if you like. This is one nasty cut. Do you remember anything about what happened on the transport?"

Perei sighed deeply where would she start "It was a unique ride, its a bit of a blur at the moment. Right now all I recall is that the ship rocked and I lost my footing and I remember the floor loomed way to close and then," She shuddered slightly "that man loomed over me and next I woke here." She looked up at Jayla "Will I live Doctor?"

Jayla grinned at her. "Of course you will," she said, finishing up with the cut and taking out her tricorder to examine her skull. "The good news is that there's no concussion," she reported. "But, there is a very small hairline fracture. I'll need to get you to Sick Bay to take care of that, but for now," she added, taking out a hypospray and fitting a cartridge into it. "Pain killer," she explained, pressing it to Perei's neck.

Perei sighed with relief as she sat up "Whatever is required for me to be able to attend to my duties." She looked at the Doctor "Is the Captain and the Executive Officer decent sorts to work with?"

"I haven't met the XO, yet," replied Jayla, watching her carefully. "But, the Captain's nice. Of course, I only met him once for about five minutes," she added, grinning. "Do you think you can make it to Sick Bay?"

Perei nodded and winced slightly, the motion caused a sharp pain to occur where she had hit her head. "I believe so Doctor." She started to stand up.

"Careful," said Jayla, hurrying to grasp the woman's arm and help her to her feet. "You don't need another bump on the head."

"Quite right." Perei replied as they headed to Sickbay.

Everything went just as it should have. Jayla repaired the small fracture and ordered light duty for a couple of days, just to be safe. She felt the Lieutenant would be fine, but it was better to be safe than sorry.

After releasing Perei from Sickbay, one of the nurses reminded her that there was a senior staff meeting in just a couple of minutes. It was a good thing she'd asked someone to remind her because she'd forgotten. She thanked the nurse and hurried out of Sick Bay at once.
