Personality & Traits
| General Overview | Aidan leans toward the typical El-Aurian personality. He is very personable and sociable. He not only embodies the listener aspect of his people, but he is also an observer. When in groups, he discreetly watches other people, their mannerisms, quirks, interactions, and so on. He is still relatively young for an El Aurian and still learning. In many respects, he is very much the gentleman. Though he can, and rather unexpectedly, play the rogue. Aidan genuinely cares about people. As far as romance is concerned, it has been quite a while since he was in a relationship with woman. Most tend to break it off when they found out he is El-Aurian. Mostly, he gets one of the following: “I want someone to grow old with, not grow old around.” “You’ll just leave me when I start getting older than you anyway, so let’s break it off now.” He remains the ever-present, mannerly, gentleman (with the occasional roguishness) and has let romance fall by the wayside for many years...until recently. He also has a bass-sounding voice. | |

| Personal History | Aidan was born on El Auria in 2180. When he was old enough to begin working, he started in his father’s veterinary office. Aidan was put in charge of patient care and ensuring that all the animals had everything they needed. In 2265, (aged 85) the Borg launched an offensive against El Auria. They assimilated all but a handful, who escaped the carnage. The survivors scattered throughout the galaxy, finding homes amongst many races. Aidan and his family escaped and fled towards the Alpha Quadrant. They were among those rescued by the Enterprise-B from the Nexus in 2293. Along with the other refugees, the Crehan family was brought to Earth. For the next two years, Aidan worked at Kenah Korner, a rare and antiquarian bookstore and library. It was owned and operated by another El-Aurian couple that was with them when they were rescued. Those two years were a settling time for the Crehan family. But for Aidan, it was a time of learning. He bought a few books, and borrowed more, to read. When the family was settled, Aidan began traveling. While visiting his second world in the Federation, he became attached to a cultural anthropology team. It was then that his interest in alien civilizations, their evolution, histories, cultural development, and so on, piqued. He went on to visit four more worlds. During that time, he studied under hundreds of historians, anthropologists, and archaeologists from many different worlds. The last world he visited was Iconia. It was that dig that made him decide to join Starfleet. 2295 - 2362 First world visit: Risa - “I have been to Risa once before, however; it was a long time ago.” Aidan actually spent a good sixty-seven years there learning many things from the Risans. Among which were different massaging techniques and a multitude of oil combinations. He became a student of the Risan culture and way of life. 2362 - 2367 Second world visit: Delta IV – He became attached to cultural anthropology team that was studying the evolution of the Deltans. 2367 - 2371 Third world visited: Denobula 2371 - 2375 Fourth world visited: Andoria 2375 -2378 Fifth world visited: Pacifica – He has been under the waters of Pacifica as well as above them. The underwater world was magnificent. 2378 - 2384 Sixth world visited: Iconia – At the conclusion of his travels, Aidan ended up joining an anthropological expedition to Iconia. That cinched it for the young El-Aurian. 2384, he returned to Earth and applied to Starfleet Academy. His major was Archaeology and Anthropology and his minor was in Xenobiology. Aidan’s senior year came around and so did the time for his Cadet Cruise. His orders sent him to Deep Space 11 in the Gamma Quadrant to board the USS Black Hawk. He was looking forward to exploring this area of the galaxy. On a shore leave to what had been affectionately called New Risa, Aidan met Mila Rasputin. The two began to get to know one another and officially started dating. Aidan eventually moved out of his shared Cadet quarters and in with Mila. During the war with the Consortium at DS11, the two escaped the plummeting Black Hawk along with a shuttle full of other people. They all landed safely on the surface of the planet. The war for DS11 was over and Starfleet started debriefing everyone. The crew of the fallen Black Hawk had been granted two months of shore leave after they had been debriefed. Aidan and Mila spent some time on Risa before visiting her family and then his family. Both were accepting of the other, and that thrilled Aidan. When he found out that he was to report to DS9 and then to the USS Black Hawk-A, he was grateful and happy. But he was even more so, when he found out that Mila would be going there as well. They would be staying together and that's what he wanted. When the Black Hawk-A was decommissioned, Aidan was transferred to the Federation colony on Gavara IV to help with the rebuild. He stayed there until the Akria-class Black Hawk-B arrived with a convoy of supplies. Somehow, he and Mila got orders to report back to the Black Hawk. |
