Physical Description Katniss looks physically weak, due to her small frame and weight people think that she can be easily overwhelmed, however this is not the case and looks can after all be deceiving.

Personality & Traits

General Overview As Katniss is fresh from Starfleet Medical she is a bit green, she can be fairly laid back, often late and often gets lost. It takes a while for her to get used to things. She often forgets protocol and her mouth tends to land her in trouble, she already has a few minor infractions on her record. She often keeps people at arm’s length, until she gets to know them and off duty tends to keep herself to herself, she may seem confident and mouthy, but underneath she is shy and complex.

She is not easily impressed. Due to her size and weight men often feel the need to physically protect her, however she can hold her own and has on occasion been known to beat down an odd marine or fighter pilot. However when the situation requires it she can play on the looking physically weak and turn it to her advantage.
Strengths & Weaknesses Katniss always applies herself and gives every situation her best, even if she does not agree or objects. On the other hand, she can be vocal and passionate and is not afraid to give a different opinion before getting on with her duties. At heart Katniss is a warm, gentle, kind person. She has morals and a good guiding compass and will always help where she can.

However she can often be late, gets lost quite easily and is always good at thinking of an excuse, she was well known for tormenting the EMH at Starfleet Medical, so much that at one point they had to restrict her access to it.
Ambitions Katniss is independent and has the ability to go far, however she still really doesn’t know where she wants to be or what direction she wants to go with her career. She qualified as a nurse, but is heart in it, or does she want to aim for something bigger and better. She’s young enough but no matter what her duties, she always applies herself and gives it her most.
Hobbies & Interests She likes to keep fit and is often found working out, she also enjoys the holodeck. She likes to read and when she gets the chance she likes to cook with good old fashioned ingredients, rather than use the replicator. She likes to play poker and is known to collect on her debts.

Personal History Katniss has a younger sister and comes from a large family and they all serve in Starfleet, she herself really wanted to go off in a different direction. But due to pressure from her family she enlisted as a trainee nurse with Starfleet Medical. Her parents wanted to her become a doctor, but due to an accident when she was young and her inability and indecisiveness of knowing what to do, cost a life and she didn’t want that burden again.

She is still quite young and although she may seem confident on the outside and is not afraid to speak, she is really quite shy and vulnerable and likes her own company. Men often tease her due to her small frame and weight, to overcome this she took up martial arts and can really look after herself although at times she may play the weak, innocent, needy card.

Katniss is unsure what direction her life will take her and she often lives in the heat of the moment, her moto is ‘when it’s your time, it’s your time’. Not something her patients like to hear, she fears death, but knows ultimately everyone must face it.
