Mission: Risky Business
Location: Holodeck One

Samantha waited for the various departmental enlisted personnel to arrive, "Pause" The holodeck programme paused. So Samantha continued to wait till all the non-essentials made an appearance, "Good morning, for those that don't know me. I am Senior Chief Petty Officer Hanson, you will all call me COB or ma'am."

"YES MA'AM!"

"Shut up, you'll hurt my ears."

"YES MA......er yea." Said the lone crewman that just caught up with the reaction of everyone else.....they kept quiet. Some shook their head and stayed silent. Samantha walked through the crowd and whispered, "Don't worry, you must be new at this." Samantha smiled and dressed back to address the group.

"This here is a training program for assailant, "Senior chief's are in charge, take your personnel and start the hunt. But before you go, here's what has happened, Computer, restart the program." The squares appeared and the film replayed up to the point that they enter. The group watched from when the ship landed, to when the prisoner had scrummed with the security detail, taken a phsaer and then a hostage. Went up the stairs, fired at the grille and disappeared. "Pause." Samantha said, "At this point, what do you plan to do?"

"Follow them." Shouted a petty officer.

"Off you go." The senior chief in charge then, "No!"

"Why?"

"He might still be at the entrance."

"Oh did I pause the program......yes indeed, the escaped prisoner is right there. And as you look at yourselves, you have no weapons. Only security had them, so most of you came without weapons; in your local departments or on the deck above or below. Or even the local armoury; depending on your deck by deck operating procedure. There will be an armoury nearby and suitably placed for your access, governed by the senior rank on the deck. If the security alert is heightened, then you will have access to these.....make sure you get one or if your department is assigned to you. Make sure your department head ensures your training on the phaser rifle along with the target practice is completed." They nodded. Samantha walked to a panel, opened it and grabbed a phaser rifle, "This rifle can save your life along with your physical combat training, should more than one assailant boards this ship. Phaser rifles aren't always for firing, you can thurst with them, you can parry and you can bop it on your target as well." Samantha realised she was off topic.

Samantha stepped back and typed in a small parameter. "Computer.....run program." The prisoner then appeared and fired the hand phaser at cargo bin which exploded. Everyone got to the ground until the explosion was extinguished, "Senior chiefs, get on with it."

"You five, let's go." One picked out five personnel and they went to the arms locker, picked out their phaser rifles and gave chase. Samantha watched them go up the stairs to the bulkhead and give chase. Samantha then accessed the arch control panel and added a few parameters and executed.

|Jefferies tube

The escaped prisoner crawled, pushing the crewman up the tube, "Where we going?" He asked.

"Oh you'll find out." As they continued, he stopped and then continued as the new information from the holodeck control panel was received. Then the klaxon sounded a security alert and he hurried along to a panel; opened it and found a main line going through a relay box. He fired at it and the power stream blinkered and went off and then pushed the crewman forward some more until they reached a hatch.

"No need for you." and shoved the rifle butt in his face; reached through the hatch, saw a lone crewman as the others on that corridor had cleared away. This lone one was still running to her station; he swung out and thieved the PADD she was carrying and ran off.

"=/\= Security, escaped prisoner deck seven. =/\="

|Holodeck

Samantha heard the report, "Now what are you going to do? You have vital information and bare in mind that intelligence is only as old as it's creation. Deck seven is where he was but deck seven isn't where he is....so?"

"Seal off...."

"Security, no. Let the others have a go."

"Seal off deck eight and deck six." Said a PO.

"Go!" With that two groups of five had grabbed a phaser rifle and headed for those two decks. "Right, let's have a look at where everyone is. Follow me." Samantha led them out of the cargo bay onto the deck and accessed the LCARS display, the display then showed the three decks and their deck and the federation signatures. All were moving along the deck and closing in on the last reported whereabouts or the escaped prisoner.

"=/\= Team A, we've found the crewman, he's alive. =/\="

"=/\= Good. Computer, delete character. =/\=" Samantha ordered.

"=/\= Continuing chase. =/\="

"=/\= Deck seven =/\="

"=/\= Computer core? =/\="

"=/\= Computer, force fields up at decks six through to eight =/\=" Ordered a chief. The computer acknowledged.

|Deck 7

The prisoner had stopped at a hatch and knowing that no one knows where he is except on a lifesign search; he needed to shut the computer down but he had a trick. Under his skin was a data chip; he hacked the PADD and painfully withdrew the chip from under his skin and plugged it into the PADD. He watched the security patrol go by and then the force fields raise but he was already on the side of the force field that he wanted to be on. So went to a PADD download portal and slipped the PADD in, after the patrol had turned the corner. The virus was released and the computer systems were starting to go offline; soon later, the force fields dropped, sensor arrays both external and internal followed suit. The prisoner didn't want control of the ship, he just wanted help to come on board but the virus used the sensor array to send a signal to a waiting cloaked shuttlecraft.

|Holodeck

Samantha saw the console go off on the wall, "Ah...okay."

"He doesn't want to be caught and force fields are down." A crewman taps his comms badge.

"Lost comms with the teams too and the bridge." Then the lights turned off. A petty officer then went to get torches. Then there was a thump.

"Something has docked with the ship." said a senior chief.

The fun begins.
