Alone. Afraid. For a Trill symbiant, the loneliness comes when a host is unavailable and there is only one voice. So does the fear, especially without the pools of Trill. Jarveth died. Adan felt that. But the loneliness and fear were something he could not accept. When would he be joined again? When? Jarveth had been so young and had promised years of a fruitful joining. To be taken at such a young point in his life, it was sad. When would the darkness and loneliness fade into oblivion and the inescapable bliss of joining resume? When?
